Maryam Murad, MD

Dr. Maryam Murad is an Internal Medicine resident at San Antonio Regional Hospital. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Riverside, before obtaining her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine, where she also completed her Master of Public Health.

Born and raised in the Inland Empire, Dr. Murad has always considered this community home. She is deeply grateful for the opportunity to train at San Antonio Regional Hospital and to serve the same community that helped shape her. Being able to care for patients in the region where she grew up makes her work especially meaningful.

Dr. Murad was drawn to Internal Medicine because of the specialty’s unique balance of diagnostic complexity and continuity of care. She values the opportunity to build meaningful, long-term relationships with patients while managing complex medical conditions and helping guide them through challenging moments in their healthcare journey. Her long-term goal is to become a hospitalist, where she hopes to provide compassionate, evidence-based care to diverse patient populations.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Murad enjoys reading, traveling, and playing pickleball. She values spending quality time with family and friends, especially paint nights and movie nights with her younger cousins.
