San Antonio Regional Hospital's cardiovascular TAVR team has reached an impressive milestone, performing more than 500 Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) procedures since the program launched in 2016. TAVR is a minimally invasive treatment for aortic stenosis in which a new valve is delivered to the heart through a small incision, offering patients a faster recovery, shorter hospital stay, and quicker return to daily activities than traditional open-heart surgery.
